Round Britain Trip For Macmillan/Marie Curie
All,
Another thread asking for some cash but i think this is an appeal that many regulars on here will identify with... long post but will try to get through the main points!
Basically, last year my mate Dave had an eventful few weeks, first his wee lad Hayden was born, then a few weeks later his dad died of cancer having managed to hang on to see his grandson.
In memory of this, and for anyone else that has lost someone in this way, David, myself and Chris are taking bikes round the coast of the UK to raise money for Marie Curie and Macmillan Cancer are, two groups who helped a lot during his dad's illness.
We're looking for sponsorship and/or any other support that could be given on a corporate front. Brilliantly Aprilia are giving Dave a bike for the journey and we have one corporate sponsor (Vita Mobile) who are giving us 2k towards costs but we obviously want to raise as much as possible.
Feel free to donate but if there are any business owners out there who might be able to help with other items, things to raffle, sponsorship, accomodation, printing for shirts, anything really!
Looking to cover 400 miles a day as we go. In response to any sponsorship we can put logos on us and the bikes (we hope) mention in all press stuff (that's what i do for a living) and positioning on our website Coastrode 3 bikers riding round Britain raising money for cancer care and Myspace MySpace.com - coastrode - 35 - Male - Edinburgh, UK - www.myspace.com/coastrode (feel free to add us as a friend and pass on the message.)

A fabulous cause, the Macmillan Nurses were great with my dad when he was diagnosed etc...
