Default Anyone watch Come Dine with Me?

Gotta admit I like this program as much for some meal ideas as for the mix of characters.

Last weeks was a weird lot who were so different they really didnt gel. The SA chap whos prep was shocking lol. Loved the fact he took the **** out of the young chap about how fresh his tuna steaks were not. Im wondering how fresh his wildebeest strip was - dont see many of those in the UK Im guessing yet he has it in his corner shop! Then claims banoffee pie is equisite - after jelly it must be one of the easiest desserts to make

Indian women who doesnt drink or serve alcohol in her house yet has a massive stash of wine in the lounge. When confronted she just replies "I think I need a wine rack to store it all".

Ah it does make me chuckle

the missus applied for the next series

she loves it, i used to watch it while at work a year or so ago, before it went all "commercial" and they messed about with the program a bit

preferred the older episodes to be honest...

I agree. They've messed with the format and made a mess of it all. Go look at the old way they used to do it and it's a much much better programme.

Last weeks guests were very boring.

Ive seen a fair few of the older ones where they did like 1 host per episode and a total of 5 hosts. Whereas now its 4 hosts and rushed through in 1 episode - I assume thats what your referring to?

I must admit I have become hooked... it's hilarious for it's contestants, their weirdnesses and their (in)ability to cook for the most part...

haha yep... guilty pleasure ! but yeah the new ones seem crap, was better when it was on earlier in the afternoon and they took a whole week to do it. by cutting number of contestants and rushing through the lot in one go it seems to lack any real substance

I loved the one with the snaggle-toothed woman whose idea of a fruit coulis was "Jam and a bit a water".

The english women won. The younger geeky bloke prob did the best food but then got into an argument with the SA bloke who questioned the freshness of his Tuna. He responded saying "it was carved this afternoon for me". SA bloke retorts "Yes but how long since it was caught, I know as I used to fish and I know how long it takes to get back to port etc". This caused geek to swear saying "its f****ing good tuna end of" which offended the indian lady enough to give him a low score thus losing him the £1k

Makes me laugh how many people go on the show who dont like so many things and expect special veggie menu's from their fellow hosts.

Yes I watched than on more4. Seen it before, but worth another look. Didn't like his chavved up Impreza, looked out of sorts with the sophisticated tasteful image he was trying so hard to achieve.
