If it's the HTC I'll buy it

There are loads of unwanted upgrades for sale on EBay - so don't worry about it

O2 phones are unlocked - I'm on O2 and my wife is on orange and can drop her sim straight into my phone (done the same with my work Vodaphone sim as well)

You can always see what its worth on Mazuma, saves the hassle of Ebay scammers.
I just got a free upgrade today actually, so am selling my old N95. Still worth good money

The new one is quite a funky little thing too, easy to use, and pocket sized. Gone off all the latest hi-tech ones these days.

K or W... or neither?
I have given up having the latest these days. N95 was a breakthrough phone, so until the next decent break through comes along, I will stick with clever easy phones.

Got a couple of upgrades due come the winter, so the new one will do for now

The only time that o2 can stop you from using a mobile that they sold you, is if you claim its been lost or stolen. They can then put a block on the IMEI number to stop the theif from using it.

A lot of people used to have insurance on their mobile so to make some extra cash they would sell the phone and claim insurance for it being lost/stolen.
So to try to combat this they would start blocking the phones.
I was tempted to do this once

In your case you would have nothing to worry about
