Any recommendations for online brokers? Used to do a bit of share dealing a while back and I fancied getting back into it again. Some idea of dealing cost would be useful too.

I use Charles Schwab, not the cheapest but you get access to UK and US markets and I've never had any issues(last 12 months) relating to access to speed of execution. Much cheaper than using my old phone broker and at least you can set your own stops and limits on deals. Plus you don't need to listen to b0llox from the wide boy at the end of the phone telling you what he thinks, like I care.

Hargreaves & Lansdown www.h-l.co.uk for small caps allow limit orders & 'fill or kill' which can enable you to get inside published bid/offer prices.
