Question

Any recommendations for online brokers? Used to do a bit of share dealing a while back and I fancied getting back into it again. Some idea of dealing cost would be useful too.

Cheers
Chris

Wink

I use Charles Schwab, not the cheapest but you get access to UK and US markets and I've never had any issues(last 12 months) relating to access to speed of execution. Much cheaper than using my old phone broker and at least you can set your own stops and limits on deals. Plus you don't need to listen to b0llox from the wide boy at the end of the phone telling you what he thinks, like I care.

Check out www.deal4free.com

CFDs don't attract stamp duty
Spreadbets don't attract stamp duty or tax
Nifty dealing s/w and gearing too!

Hargreaves & Lansdown www.h-l.co.uk for small caps allow limit orders & 'fill or kill' which can enable you to get inside published bid/offer prices.

Finspreads www.finspreads.com for spreadbetting.

Hi Camk

Where in Schwab's UK dealing system have you found the ability to set stops? I can do this on my US a/c but not on my UK a/c.

Cheers

Lee.
