Any gardeners out there?
We have a dwarf plum tree in the garden, which for years bears fruit without fail.
2 years ago we pruned it back, and had a smaller crop last year, with some normal sized plums.
this year it blossomed early feb, and fruit was forming on the branches.
all was ok a couple of weeks ago, with the fruit starting to swell.
today i,m cutting the lawn, and i noticed some of the leaves on the lower branches are a bit shriveled.
closer examination shows that all of the leaves and fruit are shriveled, across the whole tree.
I guess that the tree is dead? or is it? or do i just write off this years cycle and hope for the best next year?
if the tree is dead, any ideas a whats killed it?
