Alnwick Castle is magical

Have a look here;

Where to Stay - Northumberland Accommodation | Bed & Breakfast | Self-Catering Cottages - Visit Northumberland

Sorry I can't recommend anywhere, both places are within 1 1/2 hours drive form me.

Alnwick has nothing in that grade. I've stayed at the White Swan - but never again.
I stay at a good B & B in Longframlington when I work at Amble:
Accommodation and Leisure Complex Alnwick Northumberland, UK, Accessability level 1. - think its a 5* B & B?
Amazing value - great value, small leisure club with decent gym & pool.
Breakfasts are in another world.
There's a posh Macdonald hotel just up the road - Linden Hall, but I don't stay there as its mega £££.
