Its official.... Boris Johnson is Mayor of London
Well there you go
Not suggesting London will bloom in seconds, or change into a safe happy place over night, but at least we have the chance to see a breath of fresh air in office, and a change in attitude towards US, the Londoners that are meant to count.
Loved listening to the LBC show on this, with people suggesting what Ken should get as a leaving gift. A Freedom Pass, and a kick in the nuts should do him fine. As well as a poke in the eye for the smug **** lol.
Congratulations Mayor Johnson, now stick to your word
Should be interesting to see how long some of the easier changes take to happen, Blackwall Tunnel tidal flow etc ...

I'm absolutely amazed he won. I'm happy about it of course.

Indeed - to everyone on every side...
Boris now has a clear mandate (unlike Cyclopse) to make him (ironically) the most powerful Tory in the country.
Boris - make it so....
ps. what a great day this has been...

lol I have to agree with that one. Cant wait for the negative stuff to start in the morning. How Boris only won on tactical voting, he is not London's choice, and all that rubbish ! As you would expect from Labour
Wonder if they have finished shredding paper and deleting files in Ken's office

I'm starting to think that Labour have realised their days are numbers, so now are intentionally fecking things up so that it leaves a huge mess for the next government to try and sort out.
I mean, shirley, a political party cannot be "that" incompetant? can they?

lol how can you say that, they did a fantastic job.... oh sorry i thought it was April 1st
Im loving the "positive" talk from the Labour party right now. Seems some of them are a little lost for words.
Im sure Gordon is on the booze tonight, and nicking as much stuff from #10 as he can

Like I say, im sure the stuff about how it was not a clean victory, how there were problems with counting machines lol, and of course projecting a cloud of doom over the whole idea of Boris being head of the office.
Whatever the result, whoever the leader, im only glad that its not Ken going back to work on Monday.
My reply to anyone not even willing to give the new administration a chance....

As I don't live there, and it doesn't affect me, but after seeing Boris's reaction, I just wonder, will he be as good as when he hosted "Have I Got News For You?"

Maybe this is day 1 of the motorist fighting back.
The next stage is to get rid of Labour, maybe if politicians realise that motorists won't be pushed around, they will have to stop persecuting them.

Ken has been good for London. His anti-car rhetoric went too far and now he has to walk.

But I do have to feel a little bit sorry for G. Brown .... I mean he has really been left holding the baby, while bLair walks out the back door, on to the first plane to America .....
Like the us Joe Public, Mr Brown has been left well and truly shafted
