Default How to do Prawns on BBQ?

Not really a seafood person but had some in an Italian restaurant a while back and very nice. So got some King Prawns in their shell. Done half a dozen in olive oil, butter salt n pepper last night and well nice.

But how about on the BBQ? Any good recipes - something light as above not drenched bbq sauce or the like

Oh and any tips on how to cook them to make it easier to get the darn shells off.

Not strictly barbecue, but my Mrs does 'em by covering them in crushed garlic, (at least 4 cloves), a little olive oil, lemon juice, and wraps the whole lot in aluminium foil to heat through.

Are these pre-cooked? Probably. We do them on a skewer with bits in between like thin pepper strips and baste regularly to avoid burning. I use metal skewers but ends get very hot! Shells should come away quite easily with mildly burnt fingers. V Nice dl

Mix prawns and chorizo slices on the skewer - the chorizo gives off a slight amount of oil as it's heated which keeps the prawns moist and the two tastes combine really well

And peel the prawns first

Walk within 3 feet of the BBQ with the prawns in a bag, and then hand them out.
