Default Lost

Hello

For those of you that like this, a new episode of Lost was shown in America last night.

I am rapidly losing interest with all the breaks, dragged out plotlines etc... but I'm still downloading it.

I checked my sites this morning, but didn't notice it.
Will check again later.
I'm in the same boat. Feel it has no substance any more, but since the GF is hooked, I still download it too.

I agree the ad breaks are seriously annoying, especially when the do the lovely "louder than the show you were watching" thing. The dragged out/more twists than a M. Night Shaylaman film, plot line is starting to annoy. My analogy is that they dangle a carrot in front of you, and just when you think you're about to grab the carrot it turns into a banana and is then out of reach.

I have to say last nights episode was rather interesting, but again my analogy came into play, ah well, only two and half seasons left to go before we know what the hell is really going on.

Two and a half? I thought they were contracted to write 10 seasons?

Think it was originally nine but they've knocked it down to 6.

The following is ripped from the Wikipedia article on Lost:

On May 7, 2007, ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson announced that Lost will end during the 2009–2010 season with a "highly anticipated and shocking finale.""We felt that this was the only way to give [Lost] a proper creative conclusion," McPherson said. Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes of Lost would have been aired as three seasons with 16 episodes each, with Lost concluding in its sixth season. Due to the writers strike, the fourth season will have 14 episodes, and Seasons 5 and 6 will have 17 episodes each.
Executive producers Lindelof and Cuse stated that they "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that by announcing when the show would end that viewers would "have the security of knowing that the story will play out as we've intended." Lindelof and Cuse stated that securing the 2010 series-end date "was immensely liberating" and helped the series rediscover its focus. Lindelof noted, "We're no longer stalling."

Having just watched it, I have to say that was a great episode. Much better than any I can remember.
