Another a argument that needs settling...
Me and my girlfriend will be in the market for a house in the next year (ish) and i have just bought this picture as i thought it would look great on the lounge wall as a bold piece of modern art, so went ahead and bought it
Its 5 feet by 3 feet too, so not small
She says its NOT going on the lounge wall, i say it IS, but how do we compromise that it WILL go there
What does the scooby net massive think, will it look cool, or naff
Well?

It's the sort of picture you see on the wall when the cops burst into a drug den - ok for a student flat or garage, not what i'd have in the main room of my place.

Pulp fiction is my favorite ever film, and that particular scene just makes me smirk
I appreciate its not everyone cupp of tea, but with nice modern surroundings and massive sofas i reckon it'll look good
'Dell boys flat' wasn't the sort of look i had in mind, however i too feel i might be a millionaire this time next year
Then again maybe not

A power shower + kingsize bed (and a driveway for the car) thats pretty much it TBH, i dont mind about anything else

I have my eye on a wicked present for her when we do get a house, and its really girly, but i know she'll love it and it will be a big feature she'll love

Glad to know you are accommodating her too, maybe that'll help get your feature up. Just tell her it's art, and everyone will love it and hope she'll cave in. She's a woman though, so good luck.

I'd say it's down to who is putting the money in to the place.
If you are both putting a 50:50 split down, then discuss it. If She is putting a bigger deposit down, then give in, on the other hand, if you are placing the major stake, then surely you should have the final say.

Well hard one this as Ive got a classic picture of all the famous horror characters out of all the top films - cost me £65.00 its a limited edition - I wanted it in the living room but she said no so its hanging in the spare room
You will need to bribe her me thinks

i ve got signed framed pictures of michael schumacher, mike tyson and mohammed ali, all properly framed (matching) and wanted them in the lounge too, she said no and so they are all in the downstairs loo, with a blown up picture of when i got caught speeding (with the pulsar lagging behind in the same shot).
,
we now have some crappy, shadow, black and white stairway pictures up, mmmmmmm nice.

Had the same argument about putting signed football shirts on the wall. I never got round to putting them up in the last 18 months of living alone
