Im staying in the IT industry just going to a bigger company, with much better prospects and some really good benefits
3% pension, 22 days starting holiday, 1/2 day holiday increases for not taking sick days every quarter, profit related bonus (approx 1500 quid per year) health care, dental, subsidised holiday to Europe, subsidised canteen, 500 quid salary increase for each accreditation milestone achieved, and 80 quid after tax every six months for education/recreation purposes (ie my photography interests )
Looking forward to it now only two weeks to go

One could combine the free gym with the recreational photography side of things to capture images of shapely female co-workers
Joking aside, congratulations on the new job

Good for you.
I have just done it also after 18years in the same company on the same IT platform. Also going to somewhere I think will be better for me ............ however on a daily basis questioning whether I should have done it although deep down I think I know it is !!

its quite refreshing is it not
i worked as a temp for 3 years, having the permanent contract dangled in front of me like all the other temps (do good and you will get a perm contract)
when i finally moved on and handed in my notice it felt awesome
especially when they offered me a perm contract to keep me, which i turned down
