People never want to keep jumping to the conclusions that parents are involved but is there any wonder why this happens? I mean it's all came out now! £5 million in taxpayers money aswell for that search and £1 million for police overtime just for that search too! I know it has to be done if a child or anyone goes missing as look at what todays world is like but I have no sympathy now for them after the mother and probably the rest knew all along. It's just a shame what will start happening in this country that because of people crying wolf the genuine cases that might arise won't get looked at enough or the time and effort taken.

A rat she may look like indeed lol but I actually feel sorry for her, I mean she doesn't want to go home and would rather spend time with a kitten she has been given in police care, that says alot that she would rather spend time with an animal than go back to her family, now that it's all coming out about her step-dad and mum it makes you wonder what has actually been going on in that house

If they have done what they are accused of ( and I would be very surprised if they haven't) then the mother should be castrated to stop her causing any more misery to any future social security cheques, sorry I meant to say children, that she was thinking of having. Seven riuned lives is more than enough, as for the rest of her inbred family they should lock em up and throw away the key.

Good luck to Shannon for not wanting any part of her warped family I hope she does well for herself in the future.

I really think it is a bit much to say that poor little girl looks like a rat. Whatever she or the rest of that dysfunctional family look like, there is nothing to be gained by just being plain rude about them. The real crux of the matter is what have they been up to and whether they get the right penalty if they are guilty of what has been mentioned.

I live not 10 miles from dewsbury moor and by all accounts it allready is a black hole. The fact that everyone interviewed on tv so far has been a fat, scruffy, gobby delinquent seems to support this. The term 'breeding for benefits' springs to mind! Good luck to the little lass though it aint her fault, I only hope if she does go back to the family we don't end up paying for the fecking cat aswell

Yes apparently so, someone contacted the McCanns directly demanding money according to someone who administates the McCann fund and in addition they got an illiterate/badly worded email from the family asking for money.

It does appear from what is coming out that this was all about money.

If they have done what it seems they have done then they should be jailed and upon their release made to pay back as much of the $5m as possibly by taking 50% of their after tax/NI wages for LIFE or until the $5m+interest is paid or they die, whichever is the sooner. Furthermore, they should be banned from any council housing, assistance or benefits. In other words if they choose not to get a job to start paying back this country then they end up homeless, starve and....with a a bit of luck....die!

You feel sorry for Shannon, 'abducted' in the first place but pleased that she's away from her so-called family. This is living proof that there should no automatic right to human reproduction. We have tests and exams for everything else in this country yet people like this are free to go forth and multiply.
