VW ad banned??
Is it true that they have banned the latest Polo advert as people have complained about the dog shaking when it's not in the car??
YouTube - VW Polo Singing Dog ad
Do these people really think that Volkswagon, The ITC, erm maybe the RSPCA.. woudl actually allow this little dog to be abused during the making of this advert??

The other half told me recently that there had been alot of complaints about the ad. The world has gone mad. I would have thought the dog was trained to 'act' and was probably well looked after in the making of this. I could be wrong, but allsorts of animals are trained to act up to the camera, it doesn't mean they are mistreated.
I quite liked the advert.

I've been having a look-see on the interweb, and apparently the dog was put on a vibration plant to simulate the shaking.. and it's a trained animal..
I thought the ad was good too

Volkswagen defends singing dog advertisement - Telegraph
'The RSPCA is investigating the commercial after 286 viewers complained to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) that the dog appeared to have been mistreated.
Others expressed their concern on internet message boards, with one saying: "It made me uncomfortable... I don't know any way of making a dog shiver like that if it's living a happy life."'
I know of a way of making a dog shiver like that... take the mutt to the vets!! We did on Friday, and he wobbles like a jelly... does this mean we were abusing him by taking him to get medicine?

Apparently the add has not been banned and has completed its tv schedule but is still running on the web.
The dog is apparently trained to shake like that and is a trait of that particular breed at times of excitement such as food. They did have a shake table to use but it wasn't needed as the two dogs used to make the advert acted on cue as needed. The filming was overseen by an animal rights group to ensure there was no ill treatment of the two dogs used.

It wouldn't surprise me tbh if the ad has been pulled, just shows how ridiculous the citizens of this country have become, funny ads and comedy shows will be very dull and boring in the next few years, as nothing is allowed anymore

Of course you were, wait until someone makes a complaint about that.
It's an advert FFS, obviously the dog will have been trained to act like that. Just like other animals in films etc. People don't have to agree with it, but to claim cruelty just makes me wonder about people's mentality.

Other plebs with not a single brain cell expressed their concern on internet message boards, with one saying: "It made me uncomfortable (big wows freak!!)... I don't know any way of making a dog shiver like that if it's living a happy life."' (it was in a ****ing freezer)

Now the RSPCA are investigating it, when their resources could be better spent on actually catching the sick barstewards who abuse animals

Can't belive it.
But then I did have the same issue with my mum: She said they must have done something to the dog to make it shake.
Christ, the fact the dog was singing in the car...was obviously computer animated....the cowering probably was too
I mean, how else do you get a dog to sing?

No animals harmed in dog commercial
I REALLY don't have the time of day for the RSPCA, if I'm gonna donate to an animal charity its to bluecross, the dog's trust or pdsa or something. The RSPCA seems more concerned about it's own publicity than anything else!
