Well there was the "economy" steering class boat trip from Russia. Then certain fees to be paid to a man in a black raincoat and shades. Then a "contribution" to a man at immigration and so on......... A lot of roubles

hmm - £50 approx that was 3 years ago. Didn't tell a soul just me the misses and our two year old. Register office turned up approx 20 mins before, waited until ten mins to go went outside and approcahed a woman approx 25 and her mum. Said " this isn't a hidden camera show but ould you be witnesss to my wedding" they agreed and hey presto

Was living in England at the time. Went straight home after got changed and went to Mc D's. The cost included the register office fees and the food afterwards

PS been together for 23 yrs at that time and the only reason for getting married was - new child ( wanted mum and dad to have same name ). Also we were just buying some land over here to build a house on so thought same name would be easier - Who said romance is dead

45$ US for the actual drive thru wedding and a 20 dollar tip for the minister. So about 32 quid.

I'd much rather spend a few quid than a few thousand quid, for me it would be the actual marriage not the ceremony that would be important. I'd rather spend the money on a car or fantastic holiday

If I ever get married it will be just me, him and whoever is required to be there legally

Me and the Mrs had already booked a skiing holiday in Whistler

Thought I'd look into how easy it was to get married while there.... turned out that all you needed was a license to get married (from the local Municipal Office), a wedding commissioner, 2 witnesses, somewhere to get married (in this case the top of Whistler mountain) and.... well I was feeling flush at the time so I also organised a photographer

All in...... about $1k Canadian... so about £500 I guess

And the weather was spot on too
