Default The Colour Of Magic

Hello

Did anyone watch this last night? I really like Terry Pratchett and I'm downloading this now to watch with my children later and just wondered if Sky messed it up.

How the **** they got away with casting David Jason as Rincewind is beyond me In the books he's a young untrained wizard, not some old bugger with a grey beard

Put me right off watching it

I always assumed Rincewind was old. He never finished his training because all the other spells were scared of the one from the Octavo and he couldn't remember them. Actually thought he was perfect for the role.

Thought so. Rincewind and Twoflower last seen falling off the edge of the disc was the end of "The Colour of Magic"

Haven't read any Discworld for ages - getting through my 40K books at the moment.

OMFG a thread about "Rincewind" and "Two Flower"
This is a car board not a dungeons and dragons site boys.
"Ricewing" and "TwinTurbo" would be much more like it!

Sorry, I never 'got' TP

His first books were a bit like that (and, yes, I liked them), the later ones were just superb even a little dark and absolutely nothing to do with Dungeons and Dragons.

Personally I think TP's best book was Good Omens written with Neil Gaman.. it's has me in stitches every time i read it

Will have to d/l this latest Televisual outing, as I enjoyed Hogfather.

I've got it to watch and I'm going to be disapointed.

Rincewind was young to me too, so there is 1 problem, Deaths voice is another problem.

I am secretly hoping that they do Guards, Guards and Men at Arms, but with decent casting.
