how can i stop premium rate txts

how can i stop premium rate txts
hi all, just got my mobile bill today and its way over what i expected so i rang vodafone and they told me that i recieve premium rate txts which i am charged £1.27 for each one i recieve and last month i recieved 17.
ok i know i recieve stupid texts but i just ignore them and delete,but i didnt realise i was being charged.
thing is it usualy says to stop recieving these messages send the word STOP to........
but with these texts it doesnt say that.
ive spoke to vodafone but all theyve done is give me 3 numbers to send STOP too and when i did it, 2 relatives and one of my mates text me back asking what i was on about
can anyone help

I had a similar problem with 3 a couple of years ago.
I received texts that I had not subscribed to.
They were not keen to remove the charges until I said that i would cancel my contract. They never charged me for the texts, and I received no more silly texts.

When i was on Vodafone i had exactly the same - only i was lucky and was PAYG at the time so noticed it sooner.
All i did was reply to said text with STOP - no more annoying messages.
