Thumbs up Lazer Eye Treatment - Rapidly Dropping Prices

Good grief, Lazer Eye Treatment was about £1500 a couple of years ago - now I see it is £395 per eye - pay 2009 and 2 years interest free credit - bit like DFS and World of Leather!

I'm waiting for the DIY Kits to hit the streets

I'm that blind, I'd still need to wear specs after the surgery. Eye sight would be worse with glasses after surgery than they are now ie, I have better vision with glasses now thann after surgery.

Plus I'm waiting for all those who've had the surgery to all start going blind 15 years afterwards.

These days?

They always were. Specs mean you're intelligent. Also that you're hung like a donkey.

Hello

That is for the doing it with a blunt knife price. I paid about £1300 per eye for the safest one (discounted with Optimax).

I'm very happy with it, the only thing is that I'm much more prone to eye infections for some reason.

That's kind of true when i went to have the tests to see if suitable i was told that even thou i wear glasses that doesn't mean i have unhealthy eyes and you are risking your eyesight for what is really cosmectic surgery but the risks are very small.

TBH a small risk is too risky when it comes to your eyesight.

You go deaf. Life can go on pretty much as normal
You go blind. Life suddenly take a sickening twist. Normal life as you know it is gone. People have gone blind with surgery.

Small chance? Yes.
Worth the risk? Not for me.

Even more reason not to get it done by someone saying they are miles cheaper than everyone else!

You'd have to be a real tight fisted b*stard to try and get a bargain on lazer treatment!

It is extremely unlikely that you'll have blindness. During my research before I had it done I couldn't find anyone that had gone blind from the surgery in the last 15 years or so.

What is unknown is the longterm effects and what happens as the muscles relax when you get older. I will probably have to wear glasses to read when I'm 50 - 55. But 20 years without my glasses, yes please. Although I of course looked cool and attractive, I just kept leaving the damn things randomly around the house and other places.
