Default What's the 'clever' way to Dinsleyland Paris?

Lots of options searching! Have worked there and know the score (and no not as Mickey Mouse!) Costs on site are huge for dross mass food and poor accom with massive crowds, queues & noisy brats (my brats are purr-fect of course).

So looking for 2 days for midweek 2 adults with 2 kids in a week or 2. Staying 20 mins away is fine as nous parlons franglais half tidyement et drivememons un Beemer Gallois transport personal!

Any ideas?

Cheers fellow non lemmings!

I'm looking to avoid being ripped off, not increase my air-miles! I admit it was late though as I couldnt even spell Disney

Think more along the lines of 'there's a lovely 16th Century chateau nearby that is only £16 a night, right next to a Burger King'

if you have worked there then that should be enough of a reason not to want to go there I imagine it would never be the same

I've stayed in (roughly) central Paris in chain hotels, and also OUTSIDE Paris in chain hotels, then used the RER train to go to Disneyland.

The French have Mobilis tickets that enable you to use ALL trains, Metro etc all day, and includes Disneyland, or, if reasonably close, just book returns.

Alternatively, drive, stay, drive, is good too.

Try Camapanile, Ibis, Climat, Comfort, Mercure amongst others. All with restaurants, many near centres commerciales, so within range of MacDo, Flunch, Quick, Pizza etc.

Thanks for a decent answer mate (& Alcazar). I'll check that out as it is still looking a bit pricy for the V basic hotels I stayed at when i worked there (for all of 2 weeks).

There is always a better way

Don't stay at the Santa Fe. We did last year and it was ****. Expensive but just a 2 star hotel with no magic.

We are staying at the Newport Bay this year and will report back in April

Just need to find a way to improve the shoddy lassie fare service in the park now!!

Newport is MUCH better than Santa Fe mate. Still not sure if it represents good value though (no minibar even ). And the bar prices etc... D

Don't be stitched up like a kipper, Diesel and go to the proper one. Use the 2 days you have to go to the local park instead and get a few mates to dress up in daft costumes.

We took the tunnel, and drove down to DisneylandParis.

Pretty much a straight run.. motorways are half empty apart from when you pass Charles De Gaulle..

We stayed at the Hotel New York for 2 nights ( 2 of us).. it was okay but the total cost for the weekend was well over £750 - without food, motorway tolls etc etc..

It didnt live up to our expcetations overall, and ew said we would rather have put the money towards going to the 'real' disney in Florida for a week or 2

but the car was useful for stocking up on all that vin & bier on the way back

FPMSL Kipper costumes it is monsieur!

Paying £750 for a cold weekend is what I'm trying to avoid Ginge! Missus did a blinder recently and got us both to Cuba and back for under £400 - you gotta shop around!

Throw in a couple of dog costumes too and it should be one hell of a party in the park.

We did the staying on site option a few years ago, stayed at The Newport Bay, nice hotel, but complete ripoff.

Last October we took our own accommodation

Stayed on a site 5 miles from Disney, £16 a day, with electric!
