I have played quite a few times now with some friends. Wolf are good, but check out some of the following websites, you can get some good advice and 2nd hand equipment...
ArniesAirsoft Forums (Powered by Invision Power Board)
Airsoft Community Forums (Powered by Invision Power Board)
Mad Dog Mercenaries
Our team (the Mad Dogs) currently havent been out for a while, time to dust off the Glock 18, M15 and the ACU combat gear i think !!! Make sure you get eye protection, full face masks are only really essential for close combat games (places like Longmoor). I wear shooting glasses for open woodland games.

Never seen the point in this myself even though I do generally like everything shooting related and have bad plenty of air-soft weapons in my time.
How does it actually work in terms of teamplay with registering hits? Paintball obviously leaves a big splat of paint so its fairly obvious. But with airsoft there is no way to tell other than honesty and even then depending where you got hit you might not even feel it?
I remember having some corridor battles at uni with my gas powered Desert Eagle Amazing where you end up finding those bb pellets.

Forgot about Airsoft Scotland, got my shooting goggles from there !!
I would say avoid the plastic guns, dont use cheap ammo as it can screw up your gun, If you go on the Mad Dog forums, see if you can ask Snickers for advice, he is a serious gear queer. Throat mics, comms, custom built guns, etc are his bag !!! Oh and loads of explosives...
