You still pay BT line rental and you have to sort that out yourself.

On sky talk package, no issues so far.

No, you can move your line rental to Sky as well. I did this yesterday. I took the unlimited package - 10 pound a month line rental and 5 pound a month for unlimited calls to 01 02 and 03 numbers, even mobiles in America. Uk mobile calls are approx 25% cheaper than BT

Not with Sky, but using Orange for my broadband and I also get VOIP. I pay an additional £5 a month on top of my BT line rental (that's for the broadband, but also includes the VOIP). We don't use the BT phone anymore, just the VOIP one and we get 'free' call to just about everywhere.

Had no problems with Sky talk apart from a whistling sound from the handset, but I think that was more to do with my ex-psycho throwing it at me. The broadband was terrible though, incredibly slow, sometimes not even connecting. They cancelled everything as soon as I asked them to. To be honest I never phone anyone off my landline, every number I need to call is in my mobile.

I think they do an electronic itemised bill online, but can't remember now. It's been that long since I got rid of them.

Bear in mind that if you have a BT line and something goes wrong, you call free to get it sorted. With Sky, you call an 0870 number.
