Which washing machine ISE or Miele
As it says i am trying to decide which to buy both offer 10 year warranties on the machines i am looking at.
Has anybdy experence of ISE products?
Also has anybody had a Miele washing machine in particular W4144WPS? the downside of Miele as i understand it is the servicing cost for anything out of warranty rumoured to be £100 call out and motors approx £400 plus fitting! I understand owners are restricted to using their engineers only as nobody else has access to the kit to repair them.
I have a £400 Bosch which died after 4 1/2 years and therefore i want to avoid them and i am looking for a cost effective purchase rather than the cheapest initial outlay.

We have had a Miele for a couple of years, seems ok so far, seems a lot better built than the one we had before. The warranty is meant to be ten years and no quibble.

Buy a machine from Costco - 'lifetime' guarantee, if it breaks they replace or refund. Supposed to be what they'd consider the lifetime of the product but I've never heard them refuse to refund/replace. We bought a Hotpoint Aqualtis - A+ rated, very, very quiet and large capacity and door - very impressed.

We have a 15 year old Miele and have been told that it's not going to last much longer. 15 years!!! Next washing machine will be.....a Miele. Without a doubt.

I shop at Costco and I don’t think they have a life time guarantee on all items TV's are limited by an extended warranty to 3 years but I expect a TV to last longer than that!
I do agree that Costco is very good and so far have only good things to say except no express till and therefore very long queue times when buying a few items
I just don’t want the hassle of taking the machine out after 15 months if it dies and then having to get it back to Costco 20 miles away from me; it’s too big for that on my own.

Our Miele is over 20 years old and has been used at least once every day doing about 15,000 washes. It has only needed a new set of motor brushes which took 15 minutes to fit without even moving the machine as the whole thing opens up at the front with three bolts and the innards swing out for servicing.
Buy a Miele.
Buy a Miele.

4 and a half years for £400 quid looks pretty good value for me
We have a Bosch Classixx and with 3 kids it's on almost 24 hours a day and hasn't missed a beat. We stick everything in it including trainers !
Less than ten quid a month you have paid for your Bosche ...

I dont think the Bosch lasted well. after 4 1/2 years its motor died and burnt out the PCB in the process. the motor is £130+ the PCB £120+ then fitting on top.
I have no kids so it only ran 3-4 times a week, i would have been pleased with 8-10 years.
Still Miele looks good. Has anybody had to pay for repairs and if so do you remember what the labour cost were and did the parts seem expensive?

Siemens?
Got a condenser dryer, and got 5 year guarantee with that.
Miele usually win the Which reports but if you check the numbers tested, you'll see that Bosch test a lot more machines and come out with similar reliability.

Miele dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer for several years here ... so a bit of a fan. Had one call out when something went wrong with the dishwasher. whole machine replaced free of charge with no discussion of warranty as " this just doesn't happen"...

Miele..... we know someone with a 25yr old washing machine, they're convinced it won't last much longer, so when they saw a 10yr old one in the paper for £150, they bought it for when theirs goes wrong...!!!

Well thanks for all the replies.
I also believe in paying extra to get a quality product service hence buying Bosch before rather than an indesit.
I am just trying to get the correct machine and with 20 years being quoted as life cycle for these i am very aware that for half their life they will be out of warranty and therefore i will have to pay for any repairs and what that is likely to cost.
Still looks like it will be Miele W4144WPS as that is the only Miele i can afford with a 10 year warranty.
Thanks again for the advice.
