Default Paypal..........bank funding ?

I've recently had to complete several additional security checks on my Paypal account, as I've exceeded a total of £1700 received into it.

One of the checks was to verify your bank account, problem is it would appear that bank funding is now my default payment method when buying with Paypal.

Can I change it back to CC ?

Yes you can make your CC the primary funding source and then verify the CC to get unlimited spending. At least thats how mine works.

are you sure it werent a phishing scam email asking you to verify your details ?

There are loads of these around at the moment, theyve even pinched the ebay logos and stuff, so the emails look genuine. I would go direct to ebay and ask them and ask them, as theyve just recently put something on their site saying that ebay will never ask anyone to verify bank details via email, and anyting like this should be treated suspiciously !

hope it aint a scam mate !

Once you have verified your bank account, you can also remove it from your account.
I did- no way am I leaving that linked to it... at least with c/card you have some protection... if someone manages to get into your paypal and empty your bank acc, you are screwed!

No it's definitely genuine, I only access my Paypal account though the ebay link anyway.

Had thought about removing it after they were happy, but just wondered if there was anyway of setting it back to CC my self.

Using CC's costs paypal money. They have automatically set it to first use account transfers which costs them nothing and then you can adjust this.

That's my theory anyway.

That's my theory as well, but just can't see how to do it.
