you need to set your input on the DVD to aux, and then play the item on sky+
the DVD should see this data and record it.
what i used to do , was start the sky= playing the film, then press the aux channel buttons on my dvd till the film came up on screen.
then press record on the dvd

You have 2 scart outs on your Sky box, and 1 scart out/1 scart in on your DVD recorder. I expect you have 2 or more scart ins on your television.
Connect 1 output from the Sky box directly to the TV and the other to the scart in of the DVD recorder (usually called AV2). Then connect the scart out from the DVD recorder to the second input of the TV. If you then select AV2 as the channel on the DVD recorder you will see the Sky output; use the Sky 'copy' function and you can record to the DVD recorder.
