^LOL
I have converted people to buy scoobs without even trying. A couple I know were so inspired that they bought a scoob, even their 20-yr old son ended up buying a non-turbo. Some other aquaintences did the same, and they absolutely adore driving their scoobs.

Pmsl converted a mate after driving mine he bought a classic soon after, doctor`d owned it previous, before then another member of same family, car was an absolute minter 40k miles, totally std when he bought it fssh etc had been really well looked after about 2-3month down the line engine let go (knackered maf but werent picked up-no fault code showing)month or 2 later went again (this time replaced maf aswell)luckily had subaru warranty on it so didnt cost him anything for the rebuilds.
Have a funny feeling he wont thank me for convincing him to buy one though,he sold it after the 2nd rebuild-car were arrow straight though, he were just unlucky-didnt want to risk problems once out of warranty even though he loved the car.
Now owns a mint series 1 escort RS Turbo.

Thing is, no offence meant.............
Scoobies are crap. Badly built, all plastic and rely on the turbo for fun and 4wd to make a crap driver think he/she can handle a car.
Not that quick anyway, and the Mitsi does it all better...........
Not trolling (never), but they're rubbish cars. I'd rather have my selection of classic Mercs and the Cupra for real driving. Got a proper car with RWD ( Merc) for proper driving.
