It made about as much sense as an episode of Lost, right until the end.
It was about a horse betting system he devised, to pick the winners of six races for one lucky person.

The end was good, after he told everyone it was a farce he then "predicts" the winner

If it was a real system which worked, he wouldn't be on TV telling everyone about it would he? I didn't watch it as it smelled of horse****, excuse the pun.

And it did say on the end credits "no person who bet in this system lost any of their own money it was refunded" or words to that effect

Oh yeah, I know it wasn't a real system. He did well to make it look like it until the end.
Bascially they contacted 7 odd thousand people to put a bet on a horse, an anonymous tip. The way they done it was split them people into six groups, and whatever they collectively placed a bet on the whole race, so there was one eventual winner. But they only followed the person that eventually one all 5 races in a row. So it was a lot of effort and wasted cash to make it look like they picked the right horse everytime.

Yes, but that was not as easy as it seemed. Remember he gave the betting slip to her as soon as the bet was placed. He did not have the chance (I believe) to switch it before she looked to see that she had won....

And you think she wouldn't want to swap betting slips ! They never showed us the betting slip and they were hardly likely to let her loose £4k !!!

Either that, or there were another 5 people you never saw All of which they had to refund when they lost.

Thats what I though, but then he would have had to have been by their side for filming.
I'm going with the switched betting slips. He's always making things "appear" in peoples hands/pockets.

I'm watching this on Sky+ at the mo.

It is a system and it does work. It just needs nearly 8000 people to get 1 winner.

The thing he done at the start of the show was the best where he got the 4 racing pundits and predicted what pic they will each pick HTF did he do that.

He did something, as there was no way he really was going to let her lose. When he revealed the truth to her, if it had been me, he would have got decked (assuming I had been daft enough to try out his system in the first place).

If anything it served as a good warning to those who try to do that for real.
