Default Property renting question? (credit check)

Anyone know how long an estate agent will take to run a credit check on a prospective tenant?

I'm starting the stressfull time of being said tenant tomorrow. To say this is causing stress and a hole whost of other feelings is putting it mildy.

A week to a couple unless you paid for the express service which is a few days IIRC

Depends on the agent. Some just take your cash and give you a pass. Been on both sides of the fence. Some agents just see the £££

Paid money for my "checks" to be done and had reply within 24 hours!

Agent should be able to confirm the length of wait!
