looking for a new bank account any help would be good
I have been with natwest now for about 10 years and have there gold account and pay 12.00 a month for this. Recently they have started getting on my nerves and now i am looking to change bank accounts.
I am looking at either hsbc one account is it 8% interest
or a& l 6.5% interest.
Does any one bank with these how are there.
Are there any side affects if i do change accounts can it mess my credit score up.
thanks

HSBC's call centre's are not in this country and are a f**king nightmare!
With RBS, you can call the bank directly if you have a problem/request, which makes life very easy. I know their part of the same group as Natwest (Possably own them, can't remember) but all their branches seem well run and friendly.
If you like queing a minimum of 15mins, Abby are the ones!
Did I read your 1st post correctly, you pay some £144 a year to use your money to make themselves billions?

I've just left HSBC after nearly 10 years, they have gone down so badly in that time it's unbelievable, their call centres are terrible.
I've had numerous problems with them messing my account up, and now they have made the branch fully automated so there isn't even a counter to pay in cash etc, all automated machines which don't work properly.
Wouldn't recommend them at all, i'm with Lloyds TSB now, so far their customer service has been faultless
