Snap.
Half an hour of frazzle face talking into an 80s tape recorder shouldn't be prime-time tv.
It's crap at the best of times without that garbage.

Actually, I thought it was an impressive piece of acting.
Granted it may not have been Shakespeare she was reciting, but to do a half hour special with nobody but you doing the talking. Personally, I think that deserves respect.
They did it before with her and Ethel years ago.

I agree EddScott, however good acting as it was, it was boring ultimately so we changed channels Well, I say "we", I never really pay any attention to it but the missus watches it and was happy to turn over which was a 1st

It's bad enough when eastenders does a show with just two people in it, but just Dot on her own for 30mins? Sweet Jesus, I deliberated pulling out a few healthy teeth rather than watching that tripe, but opted to do more fulfilling things instead
This kind of monologue is not what soaps are about, let alone the fact its dire to watch... I bet their figures were at their lowest since the italian and indian family were in it all those years ago!

Kin 'ell, I'm getting old
Good acting or not, it's not what people watch Eastenders for and it should be confined to plays by Alan Bennett on BBC2 @ 1am

stopped watching soaps many, many years ago, would rather tune into National Geo or discovery, history channel or read a book.

So what is wrong with Jim? The phrase "ill" covers a lot. This has been building to a duff anti climax, and it never disappointed. Wish my tape recorder for my spectrum 48k lasted that long!! lol
It would be funny if the tape had snapped, lets see more of Stacey, Roxy and that arrival of Nigels step daughter, oh hello, she has grown

The actor himself is very ill! The writers prob don't know what to do with "Jim" until they know what happens with the actor. So I guess instead of writing a story, they just use what's happening in real life They really earn their money the writers eh!!!
