Default No need to insure yr car in Bradford-read on!!

You will not believe this:

up to 57% of drivers in certain postcode districts in Bradford have no insurance on their cars.

Six Out Of Ten Drivers Not Insured (from Bradford Telegraph and Argus)

Does kind of explain the sheer volume of very expensive sports cars here, driven by kids barely able to shave.

If you know the city, you'll know the types of areas they refer too as well.

I work in insurance (sorry) and the reason for this is the same reason that there are so many gangs in this area who are setting up contrived accidents and making massive claims for fake personal injuries.

Again ....the reasons are very clear but nobody dares to speak them out loud.

Bradford is the countries hottest area for insurance fraud...go figure???!!

prosecute?? youre joking arent you.

Insurance fraud is one of the least punished crimes out there. Normally a slapped wrist , a bit of community service and they are back at it!!

I know one guy who defrauded an insurer for over 1 million in bogus injury claims and got just over 3 months inside.....not bad for 18 months work.

Although they are watching certain areas much more closely now and are attempting to crack down on these gangs.

Easier said than done i'm afraid.

Simple answer really....

No insurance the majority of time means the car will have no road tax.

No road tax, parked on a private road = car crusher

Hey, just making assumptions based on the locality of where the worst problem is. Bradford is in the North, therefore you can assume that northerners don't pay insurance, surely?

No more of a leap that anything else being suggested

On a more serious note, There's got to be some sort of joined up approach. Problem is, that car tax isn't a police issue, its a customs and excise one.

Surely though any vehicle not declared SORN and out of tax has got to be suspect.

Of course you could solve the problem overnight with state run third party insurance and putting the cost and Road duty on fuel.

it is bizarre here- you'll rarely see so many expensive cars such as lambos, ferarris, porsche, even rare stuff like the new Audi R8, astons etc, anywhere than either city centre london or inner city bradford.

either no insurance or obviously profits of drug dealing. possibly yr honour.

in fact the no plate "F1" was just sold to a Bfd businessman for £440,000.

go figure............

it is of course compulsory in Bfd to drive around with no seatbelt, fog lights on, bass thudding, look like yr too young to drive and to strangely lap the city centre all day long.

also you rarely see driving standards just as bad as anywhere but bfd. fave trick is being in right hand lane and when lights turn red- blasting the car and going straight on- head onto oncoming traffic.

LOL

There's no "leap" in the inference made earlier in this thread, and I could give you facts about the representative attitides of certain racial and cultural groups in relation to abiding by the law from direct experience and the experience of my colleagues throughout the UK.

I won't of course, not wishing to infracted to oblivion by those individuals who refuse to believe that certain stereotypes exist for good reason.

Question

So..............to extrapolate further, you have a 60% chance of being hit by an uninsured driver if you live in Bradford?

So why the fek aren't the public clamouring for the local dibble to DO something? If I lived there, I'd be taking the local chief cunstubble to task regularly.

anyway, why have insurance when you've never had a driving test, and just use the 'family' license when needed?

Photo licenses were supposed to put a stop to that, but failed miserably.
Bradford's a bit like Liverpool (I've lived in both and was born in one of them) - many (many) people have multiple IDs, and are very hard to track and identify.

Half of that 57% are probably mini-cabbing in dodgy Nissans with bald tyres and the heating turned up to max.

Actually you never have to wait for a taxi in Bfd- its great !!!!

we did have two huge riots in Bradford not so long ago-- think there are some fears. V.difficult one really- the postcode areas the article highlights are poor inner city areas with a high density of households from the South East Asian community.

but honestly you'd have to see how people drive here to believe it. Its like "death race 2000"

I cycle a lot- its a fookin lottery whether I ever get my jounrney completed without having to remonstrate with a citizen on the error of their ways.

Unbefrikinlievable! Did you read that to the end?

"Prosecutor Heather Weir said Aujla drove through red traffic lights in Bolton Road and accelerated away.

He reached a speed of 100mph and when he braked the car swerved from side to side, then mounted the kerb, hit a road sign and came to a halt after hitting a lamp-post."

but then...

"Ray Singh, in mitigation, said Aujla had started consuming vast amounts of alcohol after losing his job in the textile industry. He said that while the driving was dangerous it was only for a short period".

OJ should have hired this guy. "While my client was a murderer, it was only for a couple of minutes..."

Quick Reply: No need to insure yr car in Bradford-read on!!
