First of all, what are you connecting it up to?
If you are using it with a PC or laptop, what resolution does it output?
Does the projector need to be portable? Are you going to be travelling with it or moving it between meeting rooms?
Do you have a budget?

Let's have some answers and it will help to narrow things down

its going to be off a laptop, not sure of its output. Its going to move from time to time, but will probably be situated in one room for the majority of the time.

Its not going to be used dailly, but for a couple of presentations a month.

I have no fixed budget, but i guess £400-£500 would be a starting point.

Okey dokey,
£400 to £500 will not get much these days. The projectors in this price range will generally be low resolution (800 x 600) and low light output (less than 2000 Lumens.

However, there are exceptions to every rule!
Take a look at this one
MITSUBISHI XD510 Portable Projectors - Buy and Save with Us. Price Promise on MITSUBISHI XD510
I don't know it but have used Mitsubishi in the past and they are ok.
It has a native resolution of 1024 x 1068 which should suit most applications.
Light output is 2600 ANSI Lumens which should suit most rooms provided that you have blinds over any windows for sunny days but it will probably be too low for a glass meeting room.
Lamp life is upto 4000 hours and a replacement will cost around £250.

Moving up the scale
This is a popular one and a nice projector http://www.projectors.co.uk/pp/Porta...SONY_CX61.html

A native resolution of 1024 x 788 which should suit most applications but it will also run upto UXGA resolution.
Light output is 2500ANSI Lumens which should suit most rooms provided that you have blinds over any windows for sunny days but it's probably too low for a glass meeting room.
Lamp life IIRC is 2000 hours and a replacement lamp will be around £325.

Another to consider PANASONIC PT-LB60NTE Portable Projectors - Buy and Save with Us. Price Promise on PANASONIC PT-LB60NTE
Higher light output at 3200 Lumens, a 3 year warranty and 3000 hours lamp life with a replacement cost of around £280.

Hopefully the above has helped to bring a little more clarity to things, shout if you need more help
