Boring, boring, but help me decide on mobile
Right you bunch of gimps (see my social skills are working overtime tonight )
Help me decide. I need a new phone chosen tonight. It is only a stop gap until the new iphone V2 is out, so I only need it for the next 8 months or so.
Current phone is Moto Krzr (crap name). Its now buggered.
So I am trying to whittle down my choices.
* I dont like Nokias .Full stop
* Decent camera but not essential
* Must be easy to use for texting for fat fingers like mine
* Decent features and an easy to use menu interface
* Must have USB connections (not proprietary ) so I can plug it into laptop to charge. Mini USB etc
I like the 02 XDA's, but I have a mac so will have to use windows for the functions. It's either that or maybe the Samsung G800.
But still choosing...so fire away with your suggestions
Cheers

ok thanks for all the input guys and girls.
hectic
I think the XDA was a choice because of it being a step up to a PDA in readiness for the iphone. A couple of friends think they are okay, not to bulky etc. G/F has one so I have had a play with it
Boro
Sorry forgot to add one proviso. Slider or clamshell due to me slinging it in my back pocket and my ability to phone people with my ****
Had SE before, not overly impressed with them TBH but ta
Pumpkin
isnt the latest XDA the Stellar ? or are u talking about the HTC ?
Jaytc
Viewty was also another choice. Only downside is it has sod all support or synching with my mac, either via third party apps or isync

I've got a Motorola V6 which is a flip phone not unlike the V3 (similar keyboard - ideal for fat fingers) but which is 3G, has an Opera HTML browser, 2mp camera, video, micro SD card, mini USB Motorola United Kingdom - MOTORAZR Maxx V6 - Cell Phones
It's the only phone that I could find that was slim, fitted neatly in a pocket, had a large keyboard, took reasonable pics, did video, had a memory card and was 3G. If there's something out there that does all that but is better please let me know as I'm due an upgrade
I also have an Orange MPV5000 PDA (couple of years old now) that runs on Windows Mobile 5 and I hate it! It's ok for using with Memory Map and a bluetooth GPS gizmo when out walking as a portable navigator but it's annoying to use as a phone and too big for everyday use. Browsing the internet is really slow and Windows is forever crashing & freezing up. Mine drives me mad!

i've just gone from a o2 xda exec to the new nokia e90.
some of the funtions on the xda are great, but sometimes you have to reset it cos like windows it crash's, normally after you have writena text and it just wont send.
i've dropped it a couple of times, oops, and its not missed a beat, only thing that i had problems with was now and again it shut itself off and wouldn't come back on again, turned out to need a new battery, but once that was on then all good.
