Cool New Zimbabwean banknote issued

Ten MMMMILLION DOLLARS!

BBC NEWS | Africa | Zimbabwe bank to issue $10m bill

I think they used the wrong photo to announce it, it should have been this guy:

Do you know, the real irony is that I'd probably pay 20quid to have one of these framed on my wall for novelty value. They'd get more from me for that than what it is officially/black marketedly worth.

Hyperinflation is a weird thing. Reminds me of being in Russia when one-rouble coins operated the payphones, but you could only get them from the street markets which were selling them at 25 roubles apiece. I also have a frame of several old rouble notes with Lenin declaring "This stuff is worth less than toilet paper!"

did you see the news show the other night where they had a meal and the total cost was 600 million dollars and he left a 10 million tip, they nearly had to have a suitcase to carry it all in, what a joke!!

I remember seeing photos in history books when the same thing happened in Germany in the 1930's. Children using stacks of bank notes as buildings bricks, and having to carry you notes in a wheel barrow to buy a loaf of bread.

/end random info

I think you've got something there. I'd want one for £20 too!

(although Id be damned if I gave them my credit card details to buy one!)

Could be worth getting a few. In a few years time the economy could start thriving, and the could be worth quite a bit more.

I was there in 2003 when all the current problems had just started to get seriously bad.
Popped into the bank in Victoria Falls and withdrew the equivalent of £30 - didn't have enough pockets to stuff it all into. If anyone took out the max £200 from the cash machine it virtually emptied it in one go
