Hands up whos go or has had this LOVELY bug
I feel so ill today.. and I'm in work for 10 hours... pains all night and you know that feeling just before you have a major case of the squirts ?
Well I've had it 12 hours now without actually having anything happening
I feel rough as ****... most people here have had it ! So is it a National thing ?

The missus made he first ever Xmas dinner and an hour later was on the bog ... It was the dreaded Norovirus though as my son had had it the previous weekend. I felt like I was going to get it but nothing happened ... luckily for me ... Hope you feel better soon and remember the advice is to stay off work for 2 days AFTER the symptoms go ..

A lot of people are under the impression that the Norovirus has only recently become common.. Its been doing the rounds for centuries!
Its responsible for various different 'stomach bugs' but the actual common name for the bug depends on the strain of the norovirus.. i.e. Gastric-enteritis (sp?) is a more serious form.

Picked it up over night, was fine last night, woke this morning to be bunged up, headache, tight chest, yet to have needed to dash to the toilet though

Hit me just as I came back from holiday on 3rd Jan. Went to work and found that I barely had the strength to get out of the car! Prompty turned round and went home. Had 4 days of the worst symptons (although no sickness) - I've not felt so rough in ages. It wasn't just the physical symptons, I found it hard to concentrate and even watching telly on the sofa was a struggle. I reckon it took a good week to finally get rid of it. A most unpleasant bug!

Well I'll be in work tomorrow even if I feel this bad.. as I said I can't afford the time off.. I might give them the choice!
If they are going to decrease my bonus I will come in sick, I wont be able to sit at a desk for long and I'll sure as "****e" pass it on to others ! BUT I will go in rather than lose money !!

We all had it before Christmas although I got away lightly. Mrs was really bad and our little girl who was only 6 months old then had to go to hospital with it due to how bad she was. Its so dangerous for the really old and very young as they can't cope with the severe symptoms.

I had it just before Christmas.
Was over in Newbury on business.
Flew home was in the house about 8, went to be 12ish felt fine.
Woke up at 4am had to run to bathroom to be sick, felt absolutely rotten, withing minutes of being sick I then had the runs.
This continued on at varying intervals until about 1pm.
I then went to the chemist who said can't give you anything, but take paracetamol because that will help with the aches & pains.
Didn't eat all day, only water.
Went to bed at 7pm and woke the next morning feeling OK again.
