Top story on the front page and they didn't spell check it.
Even put inverted commas around to bring attention to it.

I've used the form on there a couple of time to rant about declining standards, tabloid journalism, not what I expect from the BBC, wasn't like this when we had an empire...

For me, persoanlly, no. However, from a "reputable" organisational perspective, I'd want to present content with correct spelling and grammar.

Well, actually if you were asking a question it should be written "Are correct spelling and grammar really that important?", but we won't nitpick will we.

I'm not great either, but I think it is a sign society is in decline when people are just to lazy to be bothered to communicate properly, a basic human need in a balanced society.

Exclusing those with a known condition, in particular mental condition. I suffer from dyslexia by the way. A lot of these "conditions" are a direct result from "dumbing down" policies of Govn't over the last few decades. But most don't give a ****, as long as Big Brother and MacChunders are still available, most are happy and content that the people in power continually grind away our freedoms.

As far as I know I don't have dyslexia and I'm certainly not lazy. I spell check everything.. well not everything I post on a forum, but general day to day things.

I can't spell. Simple. I put it down to bad education at primary level. I got B's for English G.C.S.E and I have a degree in Information Systems, so I'm not someone who has just sat around and not bothered. I certainly don't use txt spek but I can't spell !!

So it's not just people with dyslexia or people who are lazy, some people just have trouble spelling.
