I thought I would get myself an iPod Classic 80GB but for love nor money can I just walk into a shop and buy one

It seems everywhere is out of stock, however I can order one online Can't be arsed waiting 4 or 5 days, I want one NOW !!!!

Any advise (I'm in Harrogate, North Yorkshire)

Stock may be being run down as the MWSF expo is very soon and Steve may have some new toys up his black polo neck sleeve. Mac Mini death or replacement, new Mac Pros and MacBook Pros, Apple TV II, iPhone II and bigger iPod Touch's are rumoured. Possibly even a Mac Tablet.

I bought my son a classic 80GB for Xmas and it works great with iTunes and the iMac -- as long as you tell iTunes not to automatically synch when you plug in the iPod you shouldn't have too many worries. I also tell it not to load when I plug in an iPod and do things manually.
