2008 the year of doom and gloom?
business`s round this way are dropping like flys the latest one is just down the road from us.
pennine windows went under yesterday, knew a few people working at the head office, including a friends father who was on a decent 90k year
i feel sorry for him
55year old, what is he going to do now, house is already on the market

its probably the cheap little companies paying cash in hand that's killed them off!
edit, just remembered that the big thing in the adverts was the slogan
"NEVER GONE BUST OR COME BACK UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME"

Tell him to invest any money he has left in buy to let. You can't go wrong with that.

Depends on whether he had a lavish lifestyle or not? You would have thought that common sense would have prevailed & he put something aside for retirement etc.
