You can sell cash on collection if you want. You just say that in words to the buyer. Let the buyer check the item, accept the cash and thats it. You don't even have to say the buyer paid, therefore ebay loose their final sales fee...serves them right imo.

I've done that a few times. Some buyers don't like that though as they want the feedback, hence want to actually win the auction. You still sell for cash, just you have to pay the final sales fee.

COC is in the postage options either pay for postage or cash on collection simple as I always list with a postage amount if I know it or give the option to be collected by a mutal agreement.

I've put in my description COC so hopefully they'll read it properly. I just don't like the thought of selling a games console for £3-400 and then the buyer opening a dispute and paypal taking the money off me. I don't mind buying some stuff on there but selling is hard work as too many clever people wanting to scam you.

Appears to be only when you list Wii's for sale . . . . .

Put one on last week, and had the same.

You can make it a bit safer by setting your buyer preferences not to sell to people with less than a certain amount of feedback. Pretty sure there is also a setting for the paypal payment to only sell to people with confirmed paypal accounts.

Close, it was a playstation3 6ogb.

I've just got an email that my listing was removed as it contained the words

"It has been advertised elsewhere so I do reserve the right to close this sale at anytime"

Ebay are getting too big for their own boots IMO.

Of course you can add a disclaimer saying it's advertised elsewhere! People do it with cars on there all the time.

Crazy.

You can out that on, but if eBAY see it or somebody reports it, they will kill off your auction. Had it happen to me. Just relisted for 2 days rather than a full 10.

Hmm, I've been trying to relist it for the past hour or so and it keeps coming up HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request every time I hit the list button.

I can't believe there that worried about the winner collecting and paying for it ...surely thats safer than paypal and relying on the post? or maybe the fees they might lose are hurting them
