Nurses are currently being forced to turn Muslin patients to point at Mecca 5 fecking times a day.

WTF - Its absolutely absurd

Currently happening in Dewsbury & district hospital.

They only do it for the terminally ill where the job is about quality of remaining life more than anything.......of course, you could argue that Muslims should go home and die in their own country......and half the people on here prob would! (maybe the Red Arrows could fly them home as we dont let them perform anymore )

It's about time the NHS was scapped altogether - the amount of money it costs the UK taxpayer is insane.

We should adopt an American-style system where everyone has health insurance.

It's time to face up to the fact that a free-for-all health service just doesn't work when we have thousands of immigrants and scroungers allowed to bleed the system dry, despite not contributing a penny

Having travelled to America extensively and had the pleasure of meeting the head of Medicare (not a nice man), private health is not the route that I would like to take.

I have health insurance now, but as I get older it gets increasingly difficult and expensive to get and you have the choice of leaving your family some money or spending it on your health care when you are old.

There is supposed to be a claimback procedure that the NHS can use to claim back from people visiting this country from other places. I'm not sure if it is actually used of course ...

To scrap the NHS would be one of the worst things we could ever do. Why not charge foreigners? Is that not easier?? Or only provide emergency care, i.e trauma e.t.c, any long term illnesses or non emergency treatment and it's no, sorry, c'ya. Fingerprint, retina scan on the way out and everyone the same on the way in.

I partly agree with your sentiments, i also feel that the hospital staff on the wards have enough to do in most cases, MRSA is rife in hospitals and the time would be better spent cleaning and ensure hygene paramount. I am pretty sure the Caholic patients do not get a nurse to carry them down to the chapel for confessional or Sunday worship or such like.
