Question American dollars - when to buy?

Off to America skiing in january, question is when do I buy dollars? Looks like interest rates may well go down next week and/or in January. Also a quick look at the markets seem to show that the dllar wil get stronger rather than weeker. So buy tomorrow or wait and take the risk?

TIA

Periodic I would say.

I tend to do it when I cant wait for it to drop anymore lol

The rate at the mo is superb, so even if it continues to fall, you cant lose.

I got back from New York last Wednesday. Took 400 USD over in cash but did most of our spending on our Nationwide debit card. Seemed to get a decent rate of around 2.06 / 2.07 with no forex fees or loading

52 week high is 2.11610, trading at 2.06233 on current Beeb news figures. Even if you buy now and it goes up again, I would say you're not going to miss out much.

If you don't buy now at such a good rate you will be ever so annoyed if the Dollar goes up next week!

I need the dollar to get stronger as I currently have around $13,000 sitting in poker accounts and I need to bring some of it back over to GBP soon. My life would be so much easier if it was 60p in every $1 again.

Started off really badly but has been a little better recently. I plan an 'update' post on here just prior to Chrimbo. One thing is almost certain; by xmas day it will still be the case that I'd have made more in my previous job since August 2007 than by playing poker. However, I'm a lot more confident that position will have flipped over by early 2008.
