Default London Congestion Charge Question

Looked on their website and no definative answer, so its down to NSR knowledge - considering the response to the 4" hole sinking a ship Q, this should be a doddle

If you're in the CC zone before the 7am charging time, then drive out of the zone during the charging time never to return (that day, not never ever ever), do you have to pay?

They don't charge when leaving Wales

Thats cos England is like a cheap strip joint. Entry free, but once your in, you will get robbed of every penny you earn.

Yes you definitely have to pay

£8 as long as you pay by 10pm on the day in question

£10 until 10pm the following day

and if you forget it is a £50 fine

Might pay you to park just outside the zone depending whereabouts in the area you are visiting?

Basically I have a service engineer doing an early job tomorrow in the CC. He'll enter the CC before 7am but will leave it around 10am.

I just wondered whether you pay (are spotted) if you enter the zone during the times, not leaving the zone. But the website suggests 'using' the zone so as mentioned above its chargable.

Oh well, worth an ask

How can the goverment get away with this when congestion has got slightly worse since the charge was introduced, and the quango set up to manage it all has only broke even cos of fines and increased coverage of the charge zone!

Why hasnt there been a revolt!!!!!
