Calling all Hotmail experts!!
Hi guys,
Ok ive got abit of dilema. Ive got around 1000 emails in my inbox and they are extremely important indeed and need to be saved. Now is there any quick way to select them all and drag them into my documents where they can be saved or something as i cant really seem to save them except one by one and that process is so slow it drives me mad and i cant possibly do them all and remain sane in the process as there are just far to many and i get confused about which ones i have saved etc. basically i need to lump them all togethr in one place properly where i can burn them to CD.
any help and i would be very greatful..

tried doing the printing thing and before i had even printed a few emails i had got through a whole pack of paper, besides 1000 emails takes up a hugh amount of space, not only that but you have to open each email before printing. Its not as simple as just clicking them all and pressing print.. grrrrrr lol.. dam hotmail..

As far as I know hotmail will only work through outlook if you used the paid service!
2. Start Outlook Express, and then click Accounts on the Tools menu.
3. Click Add, and then click Mail.
4. In the Display name box, type your name, and then click Next.
5. In the E-mail address box, type your Hotmail address, and then click Next.
6. Click HTTP in the My incoming mail server is box. If Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) is not an available choice, you must enable it in the registry. For more information about how to enable or disable HTTP in Outlook Express, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:
241841 (Cannot create an HTTP or Hotmail account in Outlook Express) Cannot create an HTTP or Hotmail account in Outlook Express
7. In the My HTTP mail service provider is box, click Hotmail.
8. Confirm that "http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp" (without quotation marks) is in the Incoming mail (POP3), IMAP or HTTP server box, and then click next.
9. In the Account name box, type your Hotmail account name.
10. In the Password box, type your password, click Next, and then click Finish.
Your new account appears on the Mail tab of the Internet Accounts dialog box.
11. Click Close. At the prompt to download folders from the mail server that you added, click Yes.

I can remember MS stating that they were going to turn off POP access for free accounts, but if you'd previously used it then it would carry on working. They probably changed their minds though.
P.S. You should consider moving to Gmail anyhow, much nicer and no only POP access but IMAP too!!

select all (by ticking the box next to "from" at the top >>> drop down box >>> move to (previously having made a "Save mail" folder) >>> move to "save mail".
Done
What was hard about that?
