Default Exercise bike recommendations

After a series of knee operation the physio has told my Mrs to make her knees last as long as possible she should be using an exercise bike 3 times a week. Gym is a bit impractical and if we have one at home i'm sure it will be used more.

Looking for some personal recommendations. Don't want cheap tat that falls apart after 6 months, but i'm unsure what is cheap tat in exercise bikes.

Physio says it must be upright, magnetic type, and have an adjustable seat. Mrs wants toe straps, and a programmable one would be nice but not essential.

This seems OK to me, but looking for advice from someone who has one or who can personally recommend any other make/model.

would she not be better off getting a push bike, personally i find exercise bikes boring, at least the scenery changes on a push bike, and you could go out together?

But a knackered knee needs controllable exercise.
A "proper" bike ride is very unpredictable.

That Beny looks like it will do the job nicely.
I used to test what heart rate I could reach when I used one at a gym we used (part of our apartment block) in the Docklands. 195 was my best.

Yes, we have push bikes, and we go out together.

Physio has recommended an excercise bike though, to be used on top of more conventional exercise because of the 'controllability' of it. Basically her knees are fooked, she is just recovering from a microfracture operation on one and has to have the other one done as well soon. This is on top of the 2 cartilage ops she has had on both knees already so i think it's time to listen to the physio and her consultant.

She really needs replacements, but is to young apparently.

Plus, how the hell am i going to attach an ironing board to a conventional bike?
