DSS Dole loophole?
We are recruiting for a warehouseman - so low pay, unskilled etc
We have had about 40 applicants, of which we've had to invite 10 now for an interview.
Of the 10 invited only 2 have shown up.
Are they using some kind of loophole in the job seekers allowance to continue claiming - just be sending off application forms?
It's beginning to **** me off. Such a waste of time.

Just has somone in for interview. . .
His CV states "intermediate GNVQ in business Studies" - after probing, he dropped out of the bloody course 1/2 way through!

Sounds typical. My girlfriend was selecting people for interviewing recently for a job in the NHS. Several of the people they wanted to interview didn't turn up with no prior or post contact. One person rang to say they had got the letter late, could they re-arrange for the Monday of the week after? Things were re-arranged but then that person didn't turn up either!
