Question Recommend a bike?

We just bought our 8yr old son a mountain bike yesterday, and I was thinking of getting one too so I can go with when we are on hols and to begin wth when he is on the road etc.

I don't really want to spend more than about £150, but I don't want a POS either.

Any recommendations?

imo you cant really get anything decent for 150. you could pick up a gt for around 300 that will be ok to potter around on.

Mmm,
This is to potter around behind an 8yr old on, not cycle up K2.

Mogsi,
Not heard of decathlon, but as I work in Chester and you live in Cheshire, any near us?

Stockport would be your nearest store then..

My wife just got a bike from there for £69, did 25miles yesterday morning no problems... perfect for 'tootling' round the country lanes and going in the park with our 4year old son..
