Default Strap on your gee-tar

I've owned a guitar for about 8 years but have never really learned how to play it. I don't really have the time or lifestyle to have regular lessons but do get chance here and there during the week to get some practice in. The problem is, all I'm doing is picking it up and strumming around pretty aimlessly so I'm not getting anywhere.

Are there any websites or books that can take me through learning in astrctured way so that I can eventually play something recognisable that doesn't just end up with me playing power chords with overdrive set to 11?

Get a copy of Guitar Pro - Tablature Editor Software for Guitar, Bass, and Banjo then start trawling the web for songs that you would like to play (like here ULTIMATE GUITAR TABS ARCHIVE | 250,000+ Guitar Tabs, Bass Tabs, Chords and Guitar Pro Tabs! )

You are clearly 'dead inside'

The site below gives some great walkthrough's of some recent big tunes:

Now Play It — Home

Alternatively, this is how I taught myself around 10 years ago (obvuously depends on the style you want to learn) which gave me a good all round grasp the guitar, this is the introductory video but the rest of the series are all really good too and I highly recommend them

Amazon.co.uk: Peter J. Finlay - The Complete Fingerstyle Guitarist - Six Guitar Lessons - Series One : Complete Beginner: Video: Peter J. Finlay

PS You should be playing your guitar 'everyday'.... no excuses

Just speak to me if you need guitar pro and tabs

You can no longer download the archive of tabs, only individual songs

Well, you know I normally avoid speaking to you, but on this occasion...
