Can anyone register on AVForums?
Currently having some issues that I need a hand with. I want to register on this forum, but for some reason the emails the place says it is sending are not arriving.
I've checked my settings, but would like to know if anyone here is able to register to just be sure its not me
I'll say thank you if you do

Yes I had the same problem
Go into your profile, change the email address you used, and you will be resent a new confirmation email to your new email address
Failing that, it means they don't like you or want your kind over there

I tried an alternative hotmail address and that did not work either. Hold on, I may have another one I can try

Their server have in-built ****-heuristics to to only ensure people who talk out their **** and are obsessed with interconnects can user their forum
(Sorry, insider joke. Its a stuggle against the asylum to make sure innocent people don't get took in by some of the advice given over there, that in some respects is completely over-exagerated by an established core set of users - which in turn gets repeated and bleated out by the mass of sheep-users who also have been taken in by such technically unfounded advice, as it appears they don't have their own eyes or ears)

Sad fact
Don't let anyone make you think a gold plated "TOSLINK" connector works any better than a standard non-plated one.

And I haven't a clue what you would use clean a projector screen
At least I'm honest enough to admit that, rather than spout someone else's (possibly misleading) advice.

LOL
I did read through some of the articles and most suggest a damp cloth
On my last one I steam cleaned it, brillo pad, sponge scourers, flash with bleach, Mr Muscle, and a multitude of other household cleaners, and it did make it a little bit cleaner, but this one is worse than that
So yes your right, the advice they give is pretty naff damp cloth my ****
Might work on a slightly dusty screen, but not one that has been in a pub (pre smoke ban) for several years

A shot in the dark...
Well, I always used Jiff (sorry, Ciff ) and a scrubbing brush** on the white rubber/sponge bits on my Reebok Classics.
Not that is anything like a nicotine stained projector screen, but if it would be me, it would be in my arsenal of cleaning products to try
**I reserve the right to completely imdemnify myself of any blame should it **** up your screen, as I said, I know **** all

i think I may have even tried some gritty based cream cleaner
Steam cleaning it was funny with it being vinyl, as it went very very soft, and intially I thought I had ruined it
I can always try some products on the back of it (it isnt reversable but the colour is the same, and dirt)
At the end of the day it only cost me 60 quid and is a 7 foot fully motorised one
