Cyrus hi-fi..........
..............anyone know anything about the new models that are coming in late November?
My ageing Technics CD player has finally given up the ghost and I fancied a Cyrus CD8x, which is multi-award winning. I was going to team it with a PSX-R.
I noted that various dealers are suddenly discounting Cyrus stuff after years of Cyrus refusing them permission, and it turns out that this is being done to shift the old stock now some newer models are coming.
Maybe time to invest in a new amp too?
So..............do I buy the decent stuff now at a good price, or go for the newer stuff when it comes, and hope it's worth the price premium it'll undoubtedly carry?

Just don't buy KEF. My sub went pop last night, so I typed in my model number to see what may be wrong. Hundreds of people are having issues with KEF subs, with KEF offering less and less customer service. They are having to replace so many units that they started to charge £50, now gone up to £105 Their justification being that they were losing money. Its not our fault they are duff units that are all going wrong
I used to love KEF. If you don't believe me, search for Kef 2010 subs

I used to have a Cyrus CD8x CD and 8vs amp, both with PSX-R's, running through Dynaudio speakers. Pretty stunning kit I thought.
I'd still have it now but I needed a new PC, that and it didn't want it all getting ruined with a kid running about the place.
