If he has evidence, rather than it being an irrational prejudice, then he should be allowed to say it. Strange that it is allowed to say that Asians are smarter (especially the Chinese) or blacks are physically stronger, but anything negative and the PC facists come down like a ton of bricks.

He said he hoped that everyone was equal, but countered that “people who have to deal with black employees find this not true”.
I wouldn't say it if it was not true. Of course social situations and upbringing also play a vital part. Perhaps certain cultures aren't so focused on learning and achieving; Hampering thier intellect in later life?

Arn't black people regarded as subhuman still in certain third world countrys, im sure i read, they are regarded as been 1000's of years behind in the evolution stakes.

Might be true, different races have different characteristics, so on average black people may less intelligent than other races, it may be marginal, cannot say I have noticed any deficiency.
I think there may be a negative reaction from the Black community, however there was never a formal complaint about being better dancers, better runners or having bigger *******.
Its an average anyway, so not worth worrying about, a lot of the white community are thick , just watch Saturday evening telly for proof.

The kn0b "scientist" is the head of a scientific group (part of a foundation) in southern Europe, and he still has not been fired after what he said!!

is it racist to discuss scientific findings of fact? Surely racism is the application of a general (more specifically unfounded) prejudice. If everyone is happy to say blacks make the best runners - why is it suddenly a problem to say they dont do so well on IQ tests?

I believe it is mostly cultural and upbringing though.
Middle-class blacks I have met (in IT industry) are the same as whites generally.
Blacks that live on estates/gangs and work in menial jobs often aren't.
There is also a noticeable difference between African blacks and Western blacks - I find the African ones to be painfully slow at times and they certainly struggle with keeping up so to speak.

would the stranger thing be if all people had the same intelligence - considering how evolution left massive differences between races (colour, height, strength, speed) it would seem weird that the brains all kept pace with one another.

A professor at a Canadian university announced that black peoples brains were smaller than white peoples brains some years ago.
He was subsequently denounced by just about everyone in academia. It was amazing he managed to keep his job.
Interestingly, he also said oriental brains were bigger than any other brains, but it still didn't stop him being branded a racist.

He shouldn't be silenced just because his theory is "unpopular", if that's how science worked we'd still be thinking the earth was flat.
If he thinks he has a decent scientific basis for his theory then fine, he should publish it and other scientists will quickly try to prove or disprove his claims.
It'd be a bit 'middle ages' to simply dismiss his research as rubbish without looking at it.
Personally I'm of the view that intelligence is more a factor of upbringing and education etc, but of course there could be genetic factors, for example some races around the world (Japanese ?) having a lower incidence of heart disease etc.

But, science grew out of Greece first, does that make us thicker than the Greeks?
China was waaaaaaay ahead of us, but succumbed to the West in the 19th century when still under a feudal system that had remained unchanged for a thousand years.
