WTF is this world coming to?? part of the article says that anything which causes smoke is illegal?? so when they pull the cars into the top gear studio they are breaking the law are they?? its a crock of ****ing **** how this country has become so ****ed...

i was at the o2 arena (millenium dome) in london 2 weeks ago, to watch ice hockey. if you went out for a cig, you couldnt get back in, simple as.. if that isnt discrimination then what the **** is..?? and yes, i do smoke, and yes, i had better apologise for my language... in fact, no, any doo gooder on here has a problem with me airing my views and using foul language, then you can **** OFF and kiss my ****. its about time sometime took a stand.

One little gag upsets people with to much time on their hands. People who complained about this need to take a good hard look at their lives.

There's another thread on this and I posted there, but I've cut and pasted in this un too....so there!!

It would be silly to say that the country was full of people that do stuff like this, but I think it correct to say that unfortunately the ones that do the moaning tend to be the ones who get their views aired and listened to.

As a nation, I think we are a little apathetic towards such events, and although we may come on Scoobynet and berate the moaners, we don't actually do what we should do.....that is write in....in droves..... to say how brilliant we think the programme is, and that the BBC shouldn't listen to the minority of Mary Whitehouse, political correctness gone mad, whingeing, miserable tw*ts that sit looking for fookin things to moan about!!

I personally think that Top Gear does push the envelope a little, but that's what makes it good to watch. Clarkson, Hammond, and the foppy May work extremely well together......a bit like the Three Stooges......The BBC should be thankful that they have a good team and have a great programme. In a society of green this, green that, carbon footprint calculating, congestion charging, "I hate cars" Ken Livingstone loving ***** fookas, it's fantastic to see people in the media sticking a virtual two fingers up at the establishment.

We own Subaru's......we are petrolheads.....we know all about climate change (although what's true and what isn't is another matter), but we still drive our 250g/Km perfomance cars....because it's a free world (for now) and WE LIKE IT!!!!

Who gives a flying **** if Jezza sparks up a pipe on air........oh hang on...my three year old son sits and watches the cars on Top Gear......maybe he'll want to start smoking a pipe because he thinks Clarkson looks so cool doing it!!!

GET A LIFE you moaning tw*ts!

If the police feel like it they may try and do you for incorrect use of gears for racing starts.

It is a mad world when they take something for its fun value and complain, they even said that they had stopped smoking so werent trying to make it look good in anyway imo.

i'm gonna start an online petition, so that normal people can have there say.. we want 100 percent of SN users to put their name down, and then once that has happened, its going to get forwarded to the bitch who is moaning about jezza sparking up on air, and its going to tell her how much of an ******* she is. stand up and be counting...

strength in numbers...i'm starting a new thread in scoobynet general.. sign it

Just had a thought! Is there not a clause in the ruling that says that smoking is allowed if essential, or part of, the artistic content of the production?

I'm in amazement that people still can find the time to write in and complaine about 3 fully grown men smoking (or in jezza's case eating) a pipe!

What is baffling me is the fact that if they didn't like seeing it on the screen..............WHY DIDN'T THEY TURN THE FUNKING CHANNEL OVER!!!!

no there isnt. I recall fairly recently something like mel smith did a play in which he portrayed an old famous guy that smoking was like his signature trait. He was told not to, but as Mel give a V to them and stated without the smoking there is no character and would make no sense at all. Not sure if it went ahead or not.
