Ming gthe Merciless goes ....
From: BBC NEWS | Politics | Liberal Democrat leader resigns
"Sir Menzies Campbell has resigned as leader of the Liberal Democrats with immediate effect".
And I'd ne hearing all day that he wasn't going .... good job I never believed the wireless ....
"The official announcement was made by Mr Cable and Mr Hughes, who said Sir Menzies had taken the decision in the "interests of the party and of Liberal Democracy"".
So wonder how many knifed him in the back???

As Les says though, if there is one job that has little or no impact in politics, it's the Lib Dem Leader

Nope, although to be fair I was hoping for a 'Flesh Gordon' related story!
Old Ming, just couldn't quite cut it as a leader could he - about as much charisma as a baked potato! I'm amazed the Lib Dems every thought he'd be appropriate to be honest! Shows how hopelessly lost they are as a party!
Everyone was supposed to fall at his feet owing to his sporting background....er... Sorry Ming, we prefer our politicans overweight, drunk ranting barstewards!
Bring back Kennedy!
No, the Scotch one!!
